Installation Of Permanent Sponsons & Cabin Upgrading For Ro/Ro Passenger Vessel

8975 GRT, Panama flag Ro/Ro Passenger vessel M/V RIVIERA DEL CONERO belongs to Adria Ferries Ltd. of Italy has been equipped with sponsons.

Design & Practice

Design work for sponson was made by Studio Tecnico Navale of Italy, whereas workshop drawings were prepared by Gemak Shipyard's internal design office.

Work Description

Prefabrication and installation of a sponsons including piping and outfitting items such as manholes, ladders etc. All new prefabricated construction has been blasted & coated. Sponsons has been filled by polyurethane injection method.

One of the passenger decks has been upgraded fully with new furnitures, insulation panels and cabins.

1. addition to conversion works, routine docking and survey repairs were carried out.

All completed in 55 days
